Cleaning Your Mattress: How do I clean my Simmons® mattress?

Baking soda is a simple way to spot clean your mattress. Simply apply baking soda to spoiled area and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Vacuum and repeat as needed. It's also a good idea to air the mattress as much as possible. Never use dry cleaning fluid or any liquid cleaning solutions on your Simmons® mattress or foundation as it may damage some of the materials and void your warranty.


Coil Gauges: How many gauges of wire are available?

Please ask your Simmons® dealer for the gauge of wire in each mattress they offer.


Comparing Mattresses: How do I compare Mattresses?

Simmons recommends that you test beds on the retail show floor to determine your personal comfort preference. Lie down on each mattress to help you decide which model is best suited to your needs. Many components make up the feel of a mattress - such as coil unit construction, foam and upholstery layers, and cover fabric. Ultimately, the Simmons® mattress you choose will depend on your personal preferences and the sleep benefits the model delivers. As a comparison guide you may take note of brand class (i.e., Beautyrest® World Class®, DeepSleep®, etc.), coil unit construction (850 Coil Count, etc) and comfort level (Firm, plush, pillow top) to help you select the appropriate Simmons® bed.

Am I required to flip my mattress?
Please refer to your Simmons® Warranty Card for care instructions for your specific product model.

 

If your Simmons® mattress is a No-Flip Design (cover fabric appears on one side of the mattress with grey or black fabric on the other side), then you will not need to flip or rotate your mattress.

 

If your Simmons® mattress is a two-sided design (cover fabric on both sides of the mattress), you will need to flip and rotate your mattress to maintain your Simmons® warranty coverage. For instructions on how to flip and rotate the mattress, please refer to your warranty card for care instructions or contact Simmons Consumer Service Center at 877-399-9397.

Measuring Your Mattress for Sheets

To measure your bed for the appropriate sized sheets you will need the gusset (or depth) measurement. To do so, you will need the following:

 

• Two rulers

• Yardstick (or a broom handle)

 

Begin by placing one ruler (sticking halfway out) between the mattress and the box spring. Place the Yardstick (or broom handle) parallel to the ruler on top of the mattress. Now, take your other ruler and measure the space between the yardstick and ruler. That is the gusset measurement.

 

When you purchase your fitted sheets be sure that the gusset measurement is the same as or greater than your mattress.

Mismatched Products

Q. If I need a replacement for my mattress or foundation, will the fabric be the same as on the original purchase?
A. As stated in our limited warranty, we cannot guarantee that the fabric will match that of the existing piece. Replacement of one piece does not automatically result in the replacement of the other piece. Simmons reserves the right to substitute comparable material and models.


Q. If I purchase a mismatched product, will I have a warranty?
A. Yes, as long as the product was not purchased as an "as-is" model, distressed or floor model/sample.

 

Olympic® Queen

Q. Where can I purchase an Olympic® Queen mattress?
A. The Olympic® Queen bed size is not available on Simmons® products manufactured after January 1, 2007.


Q. Where do I find linens to fit an Olympic® Queen mattress?
A. If you are unable to purchase Olympic® Queen bed linens, you can use standard King size sheets and comforters on the Olympic® Queen mattress. The Olympic® Queen mattress is approximately the same length as a standard King size mattress and approximately 10" narrower than a standard King size mattress. When putting a standard King size fitted sheet on the Olympic® Queen mattress, first stretch the sheet over both corners of one side of the bed. On the other side of the bed, stretch the sheet over the remaining corners and tuck the excess fabric beneath the mattress to create a snug fit. Place the flat sheet and comforter on the bed as you would normally make up any sized bed. The flat sheet and comforter will hang an extra 5" on either side of the bed depending on the thickness of the Olympic® Queen mattress. Please use a pleated King dust ruffle or a standard Queen dust ruffle based on the type of foundation purchased with the Olympic® Queen mattress.

 

Q. Will an Olympic® Queen mattress look strange on my bed frame?
A. Most headboards are 66" wide, which is the same width as the Olympic® Queen mattress. Once a bed is made up with comforters and pillows, the width difference is not evident.

 

Q. Will an Olympic® Queen mattress fit on my bed frame?
A. The Olympic® Queen mattress works an almost all bed frames, except sleigh beds or beds with side rails greater than 8" tall.

Standard Sizes

Like all other bedding manufacturers, Simmons subscribes to the International Sleep Products Association standard for bedding products. Dimension sizes are allowed ±½ tolerance. If a "bunkie" foundation is used, it shall have the same width, length and tolerances as the finished twin size box spring. Finished sizes are measured from seam to seam on the binding tape at the centerlines of the width and length.

Q. My dealer is providing a replacement. How can I be sure that it is the same construction as my current Simmons® product?
A. Please provide us with the model number located on the law label from your current product and the replacement product. The model number appears in the format MXXXXX.XX.XXXX. Once we receive this information, we may be able to provide information to compare the two models. It is likely the cover fabric and other features may vary.

Q. Do I need to register my warranty?
A. No. To validate warranty coverage, please retain a copy of the original bill of sale, the intact model name label from the product, and law labels on the product. Please also follow the care/maintenance instructions included on the warranty card.

However, we encourage you to fill out the warranty card information. This information is utilized to help us design our products to meet the needs of our consumers. We do not share your information with outside marketing organizations.

Q. Can I receive a refund?
A. Per the terms and guidelines of the Limited Warranty, replacement or repairs of the product are the only options available. Refunds are not available.
